Review: Sex and Death in the American Novel by Sarah Martinez

Sex and Death in the American NovelSex and Death in the American Novel by Sarah Martinez
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Was location important to the story? This story had several different locations. However, location was not that important to the story.

Which character could you relate to best? Vivianna, knowing that no matter how hard she tried she never received the one thing she wanted - praise from her father while he was alive. He may have stated he was proud of her in letters she read years later but he never told her while he was alive. This is something all children look for and need from parents. No matter our opinion on what our children are doing with their lives, we as parents should always support them.

What did you dislike? Honestly, did not find anything I did not like about the book. Very well written and had a nice flow.

Disclosure: I received a review copy of this book from the author.
