What are some of the book's themes? Most of the book was based on what Marc went through at the hands the the sadistic kidnappers. He was tortured and betrayed by his closest business partner. His dear friend and confidant along with his slimy acquaintances. He had started from nothing and built a empire. It's about trust & honesty wiped out by greed, deceit, torture and murder.
Did the book end the way you expected? I wasn't sure, how this story would turn out and the ending was definitely something I was hoping for.
What I liked about the whole book. I love true stories and Marc made it out alive to write this book. He never ever gave up.
